Crossroads Community Investment Fund As a Credit Union, our philosophy is all about building a better community while providing the highest standard of financial services. The Crossroads Community Investment Fund was established on these principles, driving our day-to-day activities at work and in the community with integrity and professionalism. A $3,500.00 donation for Crossroads Project Reconnect was made on July 7th from the Crossroads Community Investment Fund. Danyelle Bayly (left) accepted the donation from Jim Rediger, CEO of Crossroads Credit Union. The funds will be used towards involving youth in the community.
Sturgis Curling Club members accepted a $1,500 donation from the Crossroads Community Investment Fund on July 8th. On July 8th EveryBody's Playground received a donation of $2,000 from Crossroads Community Investment Fund. Jim Rediger, CEO of Crossroads Credit Union and Sharon Buchinski, Crossroads Community Investment Fund committee member, presented the cheque to William Russell (center), a member of the playground committee.
Endeavour School Community Complex committee accepted a $3,000 donation from Crossroads Community Investment Fund. Kuroki Seniors and Drop In Centre members accepted a $1,000 donation from the Crossroads Community Investment fund on July 14th. Ruth Prince, Anna Prince and Grace Tryhuba (l-r), executive members of the Drop In Centre accepted the donation from Dave Harding, Crossroads Credit Union Board member and Jim Rediger, CEO of Crossroads Credit Union. Kuroki seniors intend to use the funding towards the replacement of the centre's flooring.
On July 14th Wadena Players Theatre and Arts Council received a donation of $3,000 from Crossroads Community Investment Fund. In attendance for the presentation were (l-r) Jim Rediger, CEO of Crossroads Credit Union, Dave Harding, Crossroads Credit Union Board member, Mark Sweatman, member of the Wadena Players Theatre, and Myrna Daviduk, Crossroads Community Investment Fund committee member. The Wadena Players intend to utilize the funding towards the purchase of a stage lighting system.

Althea and Perry Godhe, Trent Murray, and Murray Larson, members of the Rosebud Hall committee accepted the donation from Jim Rediger, CEO of Crossroads Credit Union, Myrna Daviduk, Crossroads Community Investment Fund committee member, and Dave Harding, Crossroads Credit Union Board member (l-r). The Rosebud Hall group intends to utilize the funding towards the purchase of new siding for the hall.
Gateway Lodge accepted funding in the amount of $6,000 for enhancements to their courtyard area. CROSSROADS COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUND ANNOUNCES 2011 RECIPIENTS, AWARDING $25,000 Each year, the Crossroads Credit Union Community Investment Committee allocates funding to community projects across the Crossroads Credit union region. The Committee allocates funds towards health, youth, amateur sports, arts and culture, environmental and education. The Committee ensures all of the Credit Union's trading area is equitably served by funding over a five year period. This year, the fund will award $25,000 to recipients throughout the region. The Gateway Lodge Auxiliary will receive $6,000 towards the improvement of the outdoor park space for their residents. Canora Child Action Plan's Crossroads Project Reconnect is another recipient who will receive $3,500 in funding for initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between youth and adults in the community. Canora Nursery School Association will receive $1,000 towards the improvement of their storage areas and flooring. The Buchanan Community Centre and Endeavour School Community Complex will each receive $3,000 for necessary repairs to the building roofs. EveryBody's Playground is fundraising for easily accessible playground equipment and will receive $2,000. Sturgis Curling Club will be awarded $1,500 for improvements to their kitchen. The Wadena Players Theatre and Wadena Arts Council will be able to purchase new lighting for performances with a donation of $3,000. Finally, the Rosebud Community Hall and Kuroki Seniors and Drop in Centre will each receive $1,000 for new siding at the Rosebud Hall and new flooring at the Kuroki Seniors Centre. Over the past three years, Crossroads has invested a total of $75,000 to community groups who have met the outlined criteria, throughout the region. The committee is comprised of credit union members, staff and board representatives.
