CUDGC'S Response to COVID-19

CREDIT UNION DEPOSIT GUARANTEE CORPORATION’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

All deposits held in Saskatchewan credit unions are fully guaranteed. As the primary regulator, Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation ensures that Saskatchewan credit unions follow sound business practices.

The Corporation continues to carry out its regulatory duties during this unique time.  Our top priorities remain ensuring the health and safety of our employees, the safety of deposits, and the continued strength and stability of the Saskatchewan credit union system.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have activated our business continuity and pandemic plans, and are closely monitoring the situation.  We have enabled staff to work remotely, which means that we will be relying more on email during this time, and will make every effort to respond to you. Although we cannot receive faxes at this time, we will respond to voicemail and email messages. We will acknowledge your call or email within 24 hours. Please make sure you provide your name, telephone number and email address if you leave a message.

Saskatchewan credit unions have also activated their business continuity plans in response to the outbreak, and are taking the necessary steps to protect their employees and serve their members. We continue to be in very close contact with them to ensure continued sound operations and deposit protection through this event.
