Full access to your credit union account and funds will remain accessible through debit, in branch and online. We appreciate that this change is likely unexpected, and we want you to know that we will do everything we can to support you through this process. 

As a result of this change, we know that you have questions. We've captured some of the Top Frequently Asked Questions below and we would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

When will my GLOBAL PAYMENTTM Mastercard® card stop working?
The card will no longer work as of May 22, 2019.  Full access to your credit union account and funds will remain accessible through debit, in branch and online

What about my pre-authorized payments?

**Important Action Required for Pre-Authorized Payments**
If you have recurring bill payments (pre-authorized) set up on your GPC Card, it is your responsibility to contact each merchant directly and arrange an alternate payment method.  Crossroads Credit Union is unable to redirect these payments on your behalf as the arrangement was made between you and the merchant to pre-authorize an automatic charge on your GPC Card on a recurring basis. 

Pleae be advised that failure to arrange an alternate payment method for all pre-authorized payments by September 30th may result in a $25.00 per transaction fee levied on your Crossroads Credit Union account.

How will I access my account after May 22nd, 2019?

Your credit union account (chequing, line of credit, overdraft, etc.) will continue to work the same as it does today.  You can access your funds in branch, online or through an ATM using your credit union MemberCard (debit card).  If you do not have a MemberCard (debit card) attached to your credit union account, contact your local branch and we can set one up for you right away.

® Online Banking

If you log in to MemberDirect online banking with your GPC Card number, you will now log in using your MemberCard® debit card number.

If I earn CHOICE REWARDS® points on my GLOBAL PAYMENTTM Mastercard® purchases, will I continue to earn points on purchases until May 22, 2019?

Yes, you will continue to earn and accumulate CHOICE REWARDS® points on eligible purchases using your existing GLOBAL PAYMENTTM Mastercard® until May 22, 2019.  On this date you will stop earning points.

What happens to my CHOICE REWARDS®points after May 22nd, 2019?

CHOICE REWARDS® Points Redemption Options

Redeem points.  If you wish to redeem any accumulated CHOICE REWARDS® points on your GPC card this mus be done within 120 days of closing the GPC card/ CHOICE REWARDS® to a maximum of September 30, 2019.   Visit or call your local branch to discuss any concerns you have related to CHOICE REWARDS®.

Transfer of Points. Any outstanding CHOICE REWARDS® points as of September 30, 2019 will be transferred over to your Crossroads Collabria Mastercard®.  This transfer of points will take place by approximately end of November 2019.  

Cash Redemption.   Should you not qualify for, or do not have a Crossroads Collabria Mastercard®, Crossroads Credit Union, will pay out any outstanding balance in cash (the redemption rate is yet to be determined).  The payouts will be processed electronically to your deposit account around the end of November 2019

***It is strongly recommended that you consult your tax accountant before committing to a cash payout of your CHOICE REWARDS® points.***

***Neither, Crossroads Credit Union or any of its affiliates, in relation to the CHOICE REWARDS® Program, will be issuing tax receipts in relation to the payout of your CHOICE REWARDS® Program points.***
